Little Loopy

I do not wish to discuss the amount of effort involved in getting these videos together. Let's just say it was troublesome. But here you go, the final dances. We got third on the Rhythm Blues, and second on the Swing. On these I think tighter feet and more pressing into the ice was what we could improve on.

So here are the videos of our Initial Round dances. For the Dutch Waltz we came in 5th (actually tied for 4th but lost the tiebreaker.) For the Cha-Cha we came in 3rd. This led to an Initial Round placement of 4th. Biggest issue I see in the skating is my extension, I cut short my extension on the stroking some of the time. Need to work on that...

OK, we did get a bronze medal out of dance. I will have video and photos soon, but busy watching skating today. Must go support Liz and Skating Yoda!

Converted my freestyle video, but this time it is in a Mac friendly format, so you will need Quicktime, iTunes, or a Mac to watch. Two sizes, one stupidly large, one more reasonable.

Now that I have watched the video, I am even more proud! Dude, that skate was AWESOME!!!

OK, the dances were good. (Sorry, at rink, so short and no photos.) First dance was Dutch Waltz, the first pattern was a little shallow, but we deepened them up and we presented, even Kranki! Cha Cha went better, and Kranki was awesome! Dude, he got so many comments on his presentation! He smiled! There were 12 couples, we got 5th on the waltz and 3rd on the Cha-Cha, for a current standing of 4th! This puts us in the last warm-up group, which is awesome! The best part, we acheived our goals, we didn't look like it was the first time dancing the dance and we had fun!
