Right now my life is either bunny blanket buddies or kitties. Today you get kitties. Lots of photos of kitties curled up together in the top of the cat tree, which doesn't really fit both of them.

So as a result there is much laying on top of each other.

Or sort of falling out of it.

Seriously, we like having her butt smashed into our face???

So I've recently become addicted to knitting bunny blanket buddies, and here are my three completed ones. The blue one is for Skating Yoda, and the other two are for the twins coming in six months! I may end up making a couple more, I'm rather addicted!

And as my posts are not complete without a shot of a cat, here is Feyd, who finally got to the top of the cat tree. Alia is currently going nuts around the house, but Feyd laid with me today!!!

We are getting old. Why? Because we are excited by appliances. Behold, the new dishwasher and dryer.

Alia and Feyd have made the futon their bed. All together now, aaaawwwww. (Sorry for lousy photo quality, trying to avoid using flash on kitties.)

Apparently the space under our feet and blankets becomes a nice warm fort to sleep in. We do this regularly. If you look closely (ok, lousy photo, looking closely won't help), you can see that Alia is curled up in there as well.

Alia is energetic, curious, and very outgoing. She's also quite adorable when she sleeps, which she does plenty of.

Sorry for the fuzzy photo. Alia is such a sweetie-pie when she's sleepy. She'll just sleep anywhere, including people's shoulders.

Feyd is curious, but still cautious towards people, though he's willing to play with anyone. He might be getting better now that there is no more medication to give (they were sneezing). He can be bribed to be close to you. If he's relaxing he'll let you come up and pet him.

Feyd will curl up on people if you catch him when he is sleepy and put him there.

When I first saw this her head was down, so it looked like Feyd had a tabby back, and I was very confused.

Here's their new cat tree! They've started using the scratching posts instead of the carpet. Phew!

I seem to have issues with 2.25mm needles. This is my favorite size for knitting socks like these, but I also seem to break them regularly.

So as a result, my mommy got me these! Signature Needle Arts I so can't wait to start my next pair of socks.

Alia and Feyd (sounds like fade) are coming home tomorrow!!! Kranki and I immediately fell in love with them. They are nine months old siblings, and are very bonded to each other. Alia is very outgoing and active, Feyd is a little more laid back. They are rescue cats that have been fostered for about four months.

(We'll figure out who the geeks are by who recognizes where the names come from.)

Here's Alia, who was very interested a fly in the room. She's going to be an active one, hopefully will keep us well entertained.

So I've started putting up bird feeders. This is one of the at least five chickadees I have now. Chestnut-backed Chickadee's to be exact. They are fun, they keep flittering about. Because of the trees I get to watch them rotate through the feeding.

This one is a white-Breasted Nuthatch. I've only seen him that one day.

This one took awhile to figure out, it's a Red-Breasted Nuthatch. I like the nuthatch's they hang around upside down and are cute.

And there seem to be House Finch's. Both male and female.

Some pictures from the Barcelona vs Seattle Sounders game we went to in August. Yes, August, yes I'm a little behind in my posting. Go with it. Be glad I'm posting, I have three stitches in my elbow. My own fault, decided to hit the ice with my heel, which took Kranki and I down HARD.

So these are the three trophies Barcelona won last year, La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Champions League. They are the only team to win those three.

Photos of the soon to be married, realized that I hadn't actually seen her in 10 years!!! I really need to get up to Washington more often. As you can see they Sounders supporters.

The Sounders fans were very supportive, was really cool!

Here they are walking in. I understand the Sounders choose the same colors as the Seahawks, but unfortunately the green jerseys blend into the grass. Barcelona has some funky Mango colored jersey for their away this year.

Puyol running in the front, he was one of the two players I could easily recognize. For some reason I'm a huge fan of Puyol, and I think it is because he has been the captain for so long. Captains are chosen by the team, so I figure anyone that can have the teams support for so long has to be a good guy. Some more serious fans *cough* Kranki *cough* were able to point out every single player, including the new ones that moved up this year.

Here is the other player I could recognize, Messi, definitely one of the best players in the world. Unfortunately he was mostly down at the other end of the field during the first half, and they swapped everybody out the second half.

Just to show you how close we were to the field, just a few rows up from the corner kick!

So I'm finally getting around to posting about our trip up North this August. Somebody's favorite soccer team was playing a friendly in Seattle, so we of course had to go up! I went up a little earlier with tmkr, and it happened to be during a heat wave, so tragically we had to spend some time on the lake.

The door on this box is magnetic, they have a big fancy box with a big fancy magnetic door. Guess what was inside.

(Sorry, iPhone camera, no flash.) That is a gearshift. They paid to mail a gearshift in a big fancy box to an existing customer. WTF?????

I took a weaving class, and ended up buying the loom. This is the first project, the one done in the weaving class.

I have since completed three more and started another. So here are several photos of lovely colored scarves. (Edited to include found photos of second scarf)

tmkr is a sock killer. She can wear out socks faster than anyone. So I wanted to try Socks That Rock yarn and see how long before she kills it. A grand experiment. I had one hank of STR, so I cast on. One issue, I really like the yarn. I really like it. It would be perfect when I wear black slacks. So it is all her fault that I had to go buy more yarn to make socks for her so that I could keep these socks for me. I blame her completely.

We finally have a pineapple!!! We've had this plant for a very long time, and tried multiple ways to make it bloom, to no success. Apparently it just needed to be ignored for a couple years.

Someone is back to making bread. Unfortunately he's still not working on making rolls fo rme.

Now that I am no longer working like a dog I find myself with time and nothing to do. So this weekend I managed to be slightly productive. Got a knitting project done and another well on the way, but they are both surprise gifts so can't share. The other thing I dragged my husband into was putting up my new closet system. Isn't it awesomeness?!?

I should be done now, need to be as the credit card has melted. This is what happens when one doesn't buy new clothes in about nine months and gains weight. Such is life. I got another shirt, as well as pre-ordered some new fall stuff. Norstrom's is evil... I also got bras, sparing you from photos of those. It's been so long my old bras were discontinued, really I need to shop more often. I had to get shoes for my new pants, but I couldn't decide between the two. At least one pair was on sale!

Not all just clothing items. I made a trip to a yarn store as well for needles, but ended up with a book and a project bag. At least I'm not coming home with more yarn!

Unfortunately my suitcase was packed to the brim on the way down here, so I had to swing by Target as well.

It might actually have been a good thing for my bank account that I never had time beforehand...
